In-memory pdf-lib operations and lazy PDF.js thumbnails keep large files responsive.
Documents live only in RAM for this session. Close the tab and they are gone.
Security, storage, and performance — the details that matter.
Yes. Merge, split, extract, and reorder all run in JavaScript inside your browser with pdf-lib and PDF.js. We never receive the file bytes.
That is the intended use case. Because nothing is uploaded, you keep the same privacy boundary as editing a file on your desktop.
Zero storage retention. QuickPDF does not write your PDFs to a backend, cache them in the cloud, or keep them after you leave.
Files are processed sequentially in memory. Page thumbnails render lazily as they enter the viewport, so high page counts stay usable on typical laptops and phones.
QuickPDF will try a safe local retry for lightly protected files and show a clear error if the document cannot be read. Password-locked PDFs that require a secret cannot be decrypted here.
